Azerbaijan Internet Users

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Communications and Information Technologies,  Ali Abbasov, has stated that the number of Internet users in the country has reached 1.5 million people, bringing the current penetration rate to 18.3 %. The latest survey from market research company TNS estimates the number of Internet users, age +13 years at 74,0 % of the population in May, 2008. This corresponds to 5,263,146 Internet users, based on a population of 7,112,359 people for mid-year 2008. Read more.

Mainland China had 290 million Internet users by the end of November 2008, reports xinhuanet.com quoting the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology vice director Lou Qinjian.
