2015 Q2 India Internet Users

According to the report published by the Internet And Mobile Association of India (IAMAI), the Internet users in India have grown 17% in the initial 6 months of this year, adding 52 million new users, and reaching 354 million users for June 30, 2015.

This extraordinary increase originates in the number of the mobile Internet users who  grew from 173 million in December 2014 to 213 million users as of end of June 2014. Nearly 128 million mobile internet users belonged to the urban population of India, the rest 45 million reside in rural areas of the country, according to IAMAI.

Bangladesh Internet Users 2014

According to the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), Bangladesh has reached 40,800,000 Internet users in August, 2014. The largest part of them correspond to 39,300,000 mobile Internet users.  WiMAX providers account for 271,831 subscribers. Internet service providers and PSTN operators together have 1,231,000 subscribers.

632 Million Internet Users in China

Internet users in China are up 2.3 percent totaling 632 million on June 30, 2014, from 618 million at year-end of 2013, according to CNNIC statistics report.

China is part of the five BRICS countries, together with Brazil, Russia, India and South Africa. This group of countries are considered the five mayor emerging economies in the world.

China Internet Users Hit 604 Million

China continues to be Internet leader in the world having reached 604 million users in September 2013, up 13 million users since June 30 2013. This huge net population uses mobile phones in its majority to access the Internet.

Internet World Stats has added broadband information for some countries that can be seen in each of the ten regional geographic pages. Historic Internet usage data for China is also available. This new metric is important because it gives an indication about the quality of Internet access in each world location.

Japan Has A Population Problem

Japan flagGovernment stats confirm that the population in Japan is contracting. This was reported by Internet World Stats several months ago. You can see that the 2011 population figure of   126,475,664 for Japan expected to decrease to 93,673,826 by the year 2050.

Government projections show the birth rate will hit just 1.35 children per woman within 50 years, well below the replacement rate. Academics have created a population clock to highlight the population fall and encourage public debate on the issue.
