Facebook has anounced on January 24, 2016 that they will build a new data center in . It will be located at  Clonee, County Meath, Ireland and it will use cutting-edge technology, making it one of the most advanced, efficient and sustainable data centers in the world.

As Facebook subscribers and world-wide traffic grows, its data center requirements are growing along with it.
